ABOUT THE PRESENTER:

Deputy District Commander Lt. Col. Dianna Lively:

Sacramento District Deputy Commander Lt. Col. Dianna Lively was raised in Capitan, New Mexico. She entered military service in July 1997 as a member of the New Mexico National Guard. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Geological Engineering from New Mexico State University in 2004 and was commissioned in February 2006 through Officers Candidate School at Fort Benning Georgia.

Her professional and military education includes an Associate in Arts from New Mexico Military Institute; Bachelor of Science in Geological Engineering, New Mexico State University; Masters in Geological Engineering from Missouri University of Science and Technology; Engineer Officer Basic Course; Engineer Captains Career Course; resident Command and General Staff College (CGSC); Joint Planner Course; and Joint Engineer Operations Course.

As a commissioned officer her assignments include Platoon Leader, Battalion Operations Construction Plans Officer, Company Executive Officer, Battalion Liaison and R35 Planner, 19th Engineer Battalion (Construction Effects), 20th Engineer Brigade (Fort Knox, Kentucky); Battalion S4, Commander 104th Engineer Company (Vertical), 62nd Engineer Battalion (Construction Effects), 36th Engineer Brigade (Fort Hood, Texas); Project Engineer and Project Manager, Cannon Air Force Base Resident Office, Albuquerque District, USACE (Cannon AFB, New Mexico); Division Engineer Operations Chief, 25th Infantry Division (Schofield Barracks, Hawaii); Headquarters Commandant, Special Operations Joint Task Force (Afghanistan); Battalion Operations Officer, 8th Special Troop Battalion, 8th Theatre Sustainment Command (Fort Shafter, Hawaii); Battalion Executive Officer, Headquarters Battalion, US Army Pacific, (Fort Shafter, Hawaii). 

Lt. Col. Lively’s awards and decorations include the Bronze Star with one oak leaf cluster; Defense Meritorious Service Medal; Meritorious Service Medal; the Army Commendation Medal with two oak leaf clusters; Army Achievement Medal with two oak leaf clusters; Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal; Joint Meritorious Unit Award; Valorous Unit Award; Meritorious Unit Commendation with one oak leaf cluster; Humanitarian Service Medal; Combat Action Badge; and Parachute Badge.
